Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I'll be spending the week with my favorite son and daughter-in-law (I've achieved the grand old age of traveling for the holidays).
I'll be trying out a new recipe before I get to Joe and Kerri's, his favorite cake is German Chocolate and even though it's a family tradition for birthdays and holidays I'm ready for a change. This year I'm going to make a carrot cake with a pumpkin spice cheesecake middle layer. Once I get the recipe down I'll post it for you all - I promise it will be easy and worth a try.
I'll also be passing the collard recipe to Kerri. Another perk of getting older - you get to pass recipes and sit back while the younger generation cooks. Ain't life sweet?
If you guys have a favorite family recipe for Thanksgiving I would love to include it in the family cookbook I'm putting together. You will all get a copy with the family photo album I'm putting together for you.
